The anniversay of Charlotte Brontė's death is just a few days away (March 31, 1855), so Tanya Gold is taking this opportunity to "rescue" Charlotte Brontė. In an article for The Guardian, Gold goes so far as to call Elizabeth Gaskell--the first biographer of Charlotte Brontė--a "literary criminal."
