Saturday March 25, 2006

Ernest HemingwayHunting and fishing were important activities in the life of Ernest Hemingway, and they would figure prominently into some of his most famous works. Now, Hemingway's 40-foot, black-hulled fishing boat, the Pilar is in for a little overhaul, according to the Associated Press.

In Farewell to Arms, Ernest Hemingway wrote: "I know the night is not the same as the day: that all things are different, that the things of the night cannot be explained in the day, because they do not then exist, and the night can be a dreadful time for lonely people once their loneliness has started."
