Hemingway's Cats

Saturday July 7, 2007
Ernest HemingwayErnest Hemingway's six-toed cats are in the news again, according to an AP article, via Forbes.com. The cats are listed as an attraction of the Hemingway Home & Museum in Key West, Florida. And, now, a new ordinance offers special dispensation: "The cats reside on the property just as the cats did in the time of Hemingway himself." The USDA has apparently claimed that a special "exhibitor" license is required for the cats.

Ernest Hemingway is one of the most famous literary cat lovers. He famously wrote: "One cat justs leads to another."
