Perfect Endings for May?

Tuesday May 27, 2008
Yes, May is drawing to a close. May Day, Mother's Day, and even Memorial Day--all the holidays of May have come and gone... (Even my birthday has come and gone again.)

Now, June starts in a few days! What will you do? What books will you read? Where will you travel in the land of the imagination, in literature?

Gilda Radner once said: "I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned the hard way that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the most of it--without knowing what's going to happen next."

What perfect endings will you read? Is there such a thing as a "perfect" ending? What of the mystery of reading?
