I'll Take a Book!

Monday August 22, 2005

It's late! You've just finished that book you've been reading, but you're not ready to go to bed. What do you do?

Well, if you're in France, you can now visit your local vending machine and make a literary selection that might fulfill your late-night reading needs! As Xavier Chambon explains: "People have cravings for literature just as they do for bars of chocolate, fizzy drinks or all the other things you can now buy from machines." According to The Guardian, five new machines offer 25 titles in the Châtelet metro station. You may never be without a book again (at least not in Paris). If you're looking for something to read right now, take a look at what to read, must reads, and banned classics. Then, join our discussion about your Top 10 reading list.
