What to Read on New Year's Eve?
Saturday December 31, 2005
Today is the last day of 2005! We've made it through another year, and we're hopefully still all standing. Now, it's time to celebrate--remembering the year that's gone, and looking forward to a whole new world of possibilities in 2006. It's also the time to talk about how this time of the year is celebrated around the world. Take a look at New Year's Books. Then, take a look at these poems, plays, etc. (to help you ring in the new year):
- Auld Lang Syne - Robert Burns
- The Wreck - Guy de Maupassant
- Sir Gawain & the Green Knight: Overview | Text
- The Chimes - Charles Dickens
- Doll's House - Henrik Ibsen
