Grimke, Angelina
(1803-1879) American writer. Angelina Grimke and her sister, Sarah, were famous abolitionists. She wrote and published "An Appeal to the Christian Women of the South in "The Liberator." Angelina Grimke later established several schools; and she wrote and lectured during the Civil War.
