(1835-1907) Italian writer. Professor of literature at the Univiversity of Bologna from 1860 to 1904, Giosuè Carducci was a scholar, editor, orator, critic, and patriot. Giosuè Carducci was awarded the 1906 Nobel Prize in literature.
