The question here may be how to avoid tragedy, or how to handle it when it occurs, and Lewis seems to say that separating from the truth leads to tragedy. Thus, people should cling to truth, which he feels is God. He uses science fiction to capture the minds of readers with that concept on different levels, all largely non-threatening and entertaining. Perelandra provides questions, opens possibilities, and is fun, with fantasy and a good portion of horror. I highly recommend it.
